About Miyabi Jr. Express

Our history began in 1979 in Charleston, South Carolina with the opening of Kyoto Japanese Steakhouse. This family owned restaurant provided a fun and enjoyable dining experience with hibachi style grills and a full service sushi bar.

Fast forward to 1998, which is when we opened our first Kyoto Express location in order to serve our customers on the go. As the restaurants grew in the southeast, our management team upgraded the business and renamed is Miyabi Jr. Express in 2010.

As of 2023, there are 12 Miyabi Jr. locations across the states of Georgia, North Carolina and South Carolina.
